Betty, I'm working on a census list of Bakers in Greene and Pitt. One thing I did today (we've spent a lot of time napping today) was look at the 1820 Greene Co. census. I can only find one Baker on the list for 1820, a young Benjamin Baker 16-26 with another male 16-18 and various younger boys and girls as well as two women 16-26. Makes me wonder if the 16-18 could be our James, perhaps Benjamin's brother. Also, I'm wondering if our James lived in Pitt Co. (or some other county) until he married Priscilla. That farm could have been hers. She was Priscilla Darden who married Abraham Moye. I don't know the year he died yet. It's possible he went to live on her farm instead of the other way around. In 1830 a Benjamin and James live next to each other in Greene Co. but another James appears on the list the same age as the one next to Benjamin. I'm wondering if he married Priscilla early. We need to know when Abraham Moye died.
