For those of you who are unable to attend "Picturing Pitt County" at Sheppard Memorial Library in Greenville, NC Saturday, but have photos that you would like to have in the PCFR collection, Eleanor Allen has the following suggestions. Please scan your photos at 100 to 150 dpi. She suggests that you save your file as jpeg or psd. If you download your photos to a zip disk or a CD, please mail them to: Pitt County Family Researchers PO Box 20339 Greenville, NC 27858-0339 If you choose to e-mail your photos, send them to me at: bstocks@coxnc.rr.com PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE E-MAILING PHOTOS. I don't know the capacity of my mail system...I've had as many as six photos come in one e-mail with no problem. I'd like to know how many you are e-mailing and possibly spread you all out since I have to download these to zip disks and several of you have indicated an interest in e-mailing your photos. We also need the following information: Your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, and are you a member of PCFR. We also need a description of EACH photo: Family or individual, approximate date photo was taken, and where photo was taken. We appreciate any old photos you are willing to share with us to be added to the Pitt County photo archive at Sheppard Memorial Library.
