Yes, I believe the William listed in the Greene Co census below is the brother of my Mary Lula Tyson, my gggrandmother. Also, the Harvey Tyson listed was the husband of the McKeel that is said to be buried in Greene Co. He predeceased her by several years. The Frances listed is the mother of Mary Lula Tyson/Puss. William appears a bit early. His birthdate has been listed as 1861, but either the census was late or he was born earlier than 1861 or this is a William born to Thomas and Rachel Tyson and the other William came along later. Both William and Puss/Mary Lula are listed in the 1870 Greene Co Census and William and Puss are listed in the 1880 Pitt Co census with mother Fannie Tyson. See Evelyn's notes on the Rootsweb page below. Harrel's Chapel Cemetery "Also buried there, but no marker, is Francis McKeel Tyson, Sarah Sorrow's sister. She died in 1919. She was old when she died. Her husband was Harvey Tyson, who had been dead several years when Frances died.)" Now, here is one option. Hosea Tyson who married Fannie Sattherwaite and died in the 1830s (Hyde County) left in his will 3 slaves, Barzilla, Offey, and another. I'm wondering if they were very light children who could have been his...etc. Not likely, but Barzilla is listed as a Seamstress and Alphay/Anpay listed as a Servant. Remember that Rachel was a Speight. Anpay was a female Speight name, I believe. There was an Anpay Speight who was a midwife, older than this Anpay, I think. (My hair is falling out.) Thanks to all.
