    2. Bill, If I'm correct, the road you're talking about is Bissett Road (SR# 1903). It is on the left (North) side of Gum Swamp Road when leaving the Ayden area. After you turn on the road, you will come to a wooded area and then it opens into more farmland. Many years ago there was an abandoned house back towards the end of the road. Don't know if it still exists or if anyone now lives back there... Since it's close to me, I will be glad to investigate... Laymond

    3. I think you are correct. I talked with a Mr. Swindell about a cemetery but he did not know of one. (Ed, he worked at B-W) I walked into the woods looking for it but did not find it. I don't think I went far enough down the road. Appreciate your help. I have a couple of more to check in the area so will go back again. We surveyed four sites Monday on NC 11 near Ayden but did not have time to get back to look for the Garris site.
