I was in the area of Flat Swamp Primitive Baptist Church on Thursday recording a cemetery site. This Flat Swamp is on Big Oak Road and Flat Swamp Road in the northeast part of Pitt. It is right on the Martin County line. Just a few feet over into Martin is the Robert Yancy Wetherington cemeteery. I don't know anyone in this area. Don't hold me to it but I believe one of the quarterlys had info on the church and some of its records. Can't rember which one. Will check. Also I had heard of a Flat Swamp either in Craven or Lenoir counties.
