I found Rachel Moye living with William H. Speight in the 1850 Greene Co. census. The age given exactly matches the dates on her headstone. That means that I am back to square one with Rachel and Thomas in the Greene Co. census. I had identified that Rachel and the one above, widow of Elbert Moye. Not so. Not giving up. Just changing gears. I still think I have my Priscilla Darden Moye Baker identified correctly because we have found estate papers with William A. Darden as a part of the transactions. But I'll need to switch gears on the Rachel Moye deal. Sitting down to study a printed version of a census instead of on the computer makes thinking easier somehow.
