Very interesting in that: Alexander shows up as a given name in W*ingtons and relateds in the 1700s and early 1800s There is a Thomas Witherington in Calvet Co, MD across the river from Talbot Co, MD in the mid 1700s. The Norwoods and Witheringtons were together in SC in the early 1800s.
