David churchill had three set,s of children hie and her,sand their,s . the Grand father was Calvin McRea Stokes,his wife is Mable Jolly Stokes, their Children are as goes ,James Winifred Stokes ,{Langley}Christaine Lucriter Stokes,{Barnes},David Calvin Stikes,Mable Ann Stokes,Charles McRae Stokes.. now the Nelson are kin threw my Grand mother who was married to David Churchill Stokes,the Names of the Nelson,s are as goes.     3. Pitt County Family Researchers met Tuesday night, Dec.17 at Sheppard Library. There were sixteen members present. We would like to welcome new member Karen Oakley Moore to our group. Karen is researching OAKLEY and VANDIFORD. The board has several issues involving the surname book which have to be resolved. These matters were discussed, and will be discussed further at the January board meeting on Jan. 14,. Meanwhile, work has begun on the surname book.     3. I appreciate the posting of information in regards to queries of others. Some of the replies just vaguely give brief response with no solid information. If you have answers to someone's questions please give details and family connections. Also give us documentation. This will cut down on the follow-up questions. All of us would like to know what information others may have. Let us have more details. Also when posting family information use that family name so others can catch it easier. Just adding to another posting with no relationship to that family causes it to be missed. It makes it easier for me as I have a problem of having to read all the informatin to see if it pertains to a family. Thank you for what each of you do but lets make this better for all. Bill
