Dear Cousin Calvin, I need you to please do us all a major favor. I would like for you, if possible, to xerox (reproduce) those pertinent pages from the Nelson Bible you possess and mail it to: Pitt County Family Researchers, Inc. To the Attention of: Roger Kammere Post Office Box 20339 Greenville, NC. 27858-03209 Unless I am speaking out of turn, I believe that Roger would include this information in a future edition of the Pitt Co. Family Researchers, Inc. Quarterly Publication. Can you and will you do this for us, Cousin Calvin? In your last email, you indicated that James Magnolia Nelson was the grandfather to Giles Neslon. Can you tell me who who was the father and mother of Giles Nelson? There are a million other folks out there in our group that would give anything to know that information. We all await to hear from you. Dear Cousin Calvin, As you can readily see, there seems to be major interest in the Nelson family Bible data that you currently have in your possession. In particular, you indicated in one of your earlier emails that you are kin to Giles Nelson. Thus far, I have been unable to determine the parentage or the ancestors of my Giles Nelson. Does your Bible contain his name and family members, too? If so, you are in a position to perform a major service to your fellow Pitt Co. Family Researchers, Please send a reproduced copy of those family Bible entries to Roger Kammerer, or one of our other PCFR Officers. I am sure they would be happy to publish it in one of their PCFR Quarterly editions. We all are anxiously awaiting your response to this proposal. Will one of our officers please take the lead and work with Cousin Calvin on this project. My Nelson direct lines are: (1) Giles Nelson (b: app 1753/1754 -- d: aft 1840/bef 1850) + Nancy (Shivers?/Sprivey?) Pat, I would be interested in the source of your information on Giles and Jonas being brothers. Remember I mentioned to you the possibility of there being a Jesse involved with a William. John, that is a great idea. If Mr. Langley would agree that would be wonderful. Sure would clear up some of the mysteries, if indeed it contains the information we need. Martin Nelson was in Beaufort County before the Revolution, about 1751, so I doubt this Nelson he refers us to, is of our Clan. Would need to see proof. gloria ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Lucas" <attretired@worldnet.att.net> To: <NC-PCFR-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, December 23, 2002 10:05 AM Subject: [NC-PCFR] The Nelson's of North Carolina > Dear Cousins, > > It seems that many of us cousins are attempting to trace our Nelson > lines.
