Paula: Thanks for the offer. I'm not looking for assistance, but I am in hopes of corresponding with some other Blands from that area who are also doing genealogy on the family line. You did a lookup for me once and I really appreciated it. Good luck in your research. I have been researching the Bland family line from Pitt County for a number of years. I have corresponded with several people who's family line married a Bland, but to date, I have not met or heard from any Bland's from Pitt, Craven or Lenoir Counties. Am I the only Bland interested in genealogy from this area? If not, I sure would like to hear from you and to share information. Bill Bland
Charlie was the son of Ollen and Retha Little Kittrell. He grew up in Winterville. Later he became a Baptist minister in Indianapolis Indiana, and became a lifetime resident there. He married Evelyn Taylor. He passed away May 31. He was born May 1, 1930. The funeral and viewing will be at Crossroad Baptist Church, in Indianapolis. I did not give the details earlier.
Bill, I'm not related, but is there a brick wall that you have with this line? I'd be glad to look around. That area of Pitt County is near Martin and Beaufort Counties. Easter Rogerson Mizell is a genealogist in that area who seems to know something about every family in that area. You might write her a letter (the old fashioned way) and see if she knows anything about your family. Her address is: Mrs. Easter Mizell 105 S. McCaskey Rd. Williamston, NC 27892 Good luck!
