Hello Everyone! Just recently received the following from a fellow List Owner that should be of great interest to you all. Her name is Virginia Ewing, and my thanks go out to her for allowing me to repost her message here. So-o-o, without further ado, here it is: Virginia Ewing wrote: "For several weeks there has been a discussion on the mailing list for FHC worker regarding an unofficial statement during a church service in Utah, that the Family Search, would soon be going on line. Family Search is the program, now on CDs available through FHC's only, and includes the IGI, Ancestral File, Family History Library Catalog and others. "I called the FHC support system in Salt Lake and was told "the church is developing a Genealogy Service on the Internet, that the Church believes will greatly enhance the way people are tracing their Family History. Details will not be available until the fall of 1999." "BYU has a site that discusses some of the possibilities. http://newsnet.byu.edu/noframes/show_story.cfm?number=8836 Virginia Ewing vewing@ctesc.net listowner: Gober, Perry, Ashley & MSWilkin[son] co, MS search the mailing list archives at http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl " <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> Tapadh leibh, Sláinte!
