William F. May, b. 1837, married Temperance Whitlock in Davie Co. in 1857. William F. May married Rachel Martha Cranfill in Davie Co. in 1859. William F. and wife, Rachel M. were listed on the 1880 Davie census. William F. May found on 1900 census in Iredell County with wife Emely C. and twin daughter, Mamie and Minnie, b. March 1889. I think the William F. May in Iredell was the same as the one in Davie. William F. May of Davie was in the Civil War. William F. May of Iredell County filed for a pension in 1905. I am looking for the marriage of William F. May and Emely C. ??. Since daughter were born in March of 1889, marriage may have taken place in 1888. The marriage definitley took place between 1880 and 1890. Does anyone have access to the 80's marriages? Thank you, Norma Z.
