One of my 'brick walls' is John Franklin MOORE, b. Aug 13, 1822, VA(?). He was one of my GGGFs. He lived most of his adult life in Iredell Co, NC, where he helped establish Mooresville, & which was named for him. He died on July 26, 1877. About the only thing I know about John Franklin's family is that he had a brother, James H. MOORE, who sold John Franklin more than 500 acres in about 1845. John Franklin MOORE's wife was Elizabeth Rachel SUMMEROW(1818-1900). Ring any bells? I have lots of descendant info which I'll be happy to share, but "Desperately Seeking MY John Franklin MOORE's Ancestors". Would also appreciate any help on Elizabeth Rachel SUMMEROW.
