    2. Jamie Hunter
    3. Hello everyone! I'm new to the list and was just wondering if there was anyone out there researching the (or any spelling of the) name LUNSFORD. Specifically I am searching for the family (parents and siblings) of Isaac Lunsford b. in North Carolina c1805. I have looked through census records and have come up with a few possibilities as to counties he may have been from - Iredell being one. Isaac moved to Clay Co. KY by 1823. He married twice in KY, fathering about 11 children, and died there c1865. I am looking forward to sharing whatever info I have with new cousins! jamie in california

    1. TORRENTINE/HUTCHISON
    2. Hello, >From various bits and pieces (none confirmed), I have pieced together the family as follows. Can anybody confirm or refute my guesses? I'd also be grateful if anybody could add vitals -- birth, marriage, death dates -- to this sketchy outline. I find these Torrentines and Hutchisons in Iredell County circa late 1700s early 1800s. Cyrus HUTCHISON b. c. 1787-8 SC m. before 1812 Elizabeth TORRENTINE. Their children may have been Wm. B. b. c. 1812 NC, Mary M. b. c. 1814 NC, Robert Harvey b. c. 1815 NC, Margaret T. b. c. 1826, Jane A. b. c. 1830, and J. A. b. c. 1833 (those listed last may not be children but wives of the older sons or other relatives). This Cyrus Hutchison family reappears in the 1840 Mecklenburg Co., NC census then the 1850 Union Co., AR census, but Elizabeth (Torrentine) Hutchison is not listed in the latter. Perhaps she had already died. Elizabeth TORRENTINE's parents were Robert TORRENTINE and Jane DAMSTER. Robert d. 1862, aged about 77 (so b. c. 1785) and buried in New Perth ARP Church Cemetery, Iredell Co. Jane d. 1860 aged about 85? (so b. c. 1875) buried same. This Robert Torrentine had daughters married to or had other relatives with these surnames: Archibald CLARK, KERR/KARR, NESBET/NESBIT. The parents of Robert Torrentine were Robert and Mary Torrentine. Robert Torrentine Sr. d. before 1818. One (or both?) of these Robert Torrentines owned property along Old House Creek and the waters of Stumpy Branch near the property of Joseph BYARS, Solomon DOUGLAS, James and Robert HIB(B)ITS, Oran BASS, Ann and Abraham ERWIN, Robert and John BELL, sons of Walter BELL, Stephen PARKER. I may have badly mangled the compilation of this family and will be grateful if someone can straighten me out. Many thanks! All the best, Sara M. Bettencourt Houston, TX
