    3. I am trying to establish the link between Moses W. Cornelius b. 1857 and his Grandfather, J. R. Cornelius. J.R. Cornelius appears in 1850, Jesse in 1870 and J.R. in 1880 Iredell County Censuses. Moses W. appears in the 1870 at age 13 and 1880 at age 22. The 1880 Census shows Moses W, and Addie White as gson and gdau-in-law, respectively in J.R.'s household. Bottom line: Does anyone have any formation that would help me determine who Moses father was as well as Addie's parents. Thank you kindly! Ron Cornelius Oneida, Tennessee

    3. After 25 years of study I have reached the conclusion that these folks were dropped by aliens, but just in case they weren't: George W. Hase (Hayes/Hays) b. 17 Nov 1816 (bplace given variously as VA and NC) md. Ann Melissa Lowrance (Lorance) in Iredell Co on 12 May 1836. Ann Melissa's tombstone says she was born in Iredell County.     3. Dia duit! (Irish Gaelic for "Hello!") I am seeking any information about the CAVIN family in the Gaston Co./Iredell Co./Rowan Co./Alexander Co/Lincoln Co. areas of NC, and SC also. Well...really just about anywhere. I have Family in the Spartanburg, SC area and have found descendants in the Mt. Holly, McAdenville, Stanley, Gastonia, Statesville, Hiddenite and Troutman areas of NC, plus other areas. I'd love to have correspondence re. CAVIN's in these areas or anywhere else a CAVIN might be found. My 3rdGGF is ROBERT CAVIN, and was born around c.1775(?). He settled near Hiddenite, Iredell Co./Alexander Co., NC late c.1700's(?)and married the former SUSANNAH (SUSIE) HAINES. I have been told that her Father was RALPH HAINES, but this is unconfirmed yet. Children include: ZIZA GATES CAVIN, SALLIE CAVIN TUCKER, WILLIAM H. CAVIN and ROBERT WINSTON CAVIN. I think that my 3rdGGF, ROBERT CAVIN (or his Father), may have moved from PA to VA(?) before settling in NC, but I have no proof of this, too, as of yet. Tapadh leibh, Sláinte!     3. Hi All! Yea! I've been rather silent lately ... I've had a lot going on this past year ('99) and there seems to be no let up in this new year, 2K. Hope that everyone had a wonderful and safe Christmas and New Year Holiday and that all made it through the Y2K "non-event" with very little problems. Just a quick note, however; I have a new eMail address for those of you who have my current eMail address saved in your address book (all two of ya ... [;<D ... joke!). My NEW eMail address as of this date is: lcavin@carolina.rr.com My OLD eMail address is: cavin@charlotte.infi.net For now, I may reached at either of the two, old or new, eMail addresses, but after 31 Jan 00, my old eMail address will go away. If you need to contact me, I would prefer if you would use my new address, but I will be monitoring my old address over the next couple of weeks just in case. I just recently switched from a Dial-up Modem (you know ... that thing that goes beep, beep, beep when ya log on to the internet) to a Cable Modem (Time Warner's "Road Runner" fast internet service). And man, I mean fast, like in light speed compared to my old 56K Dial-up Modem. I had to put a seat belt and harness on my office chair to use it. [:<D 'Nuff about my new toy.
