Would like to find parents or ANY information on: Franklin Alexander ALLISON - b. 1840 in Statesville, NC married Mary B. NEAL in MS in 1861 Adam Lafayette ALLISON - b. 1831 in NC married Mary Frances HATCH in 1860 in MS. I believe them to be brothers as they were living in the same household in the 1860 census for Copiah County, MS. Both were printers by profession. Any information would be helpful. I have no idea who their parents were. Since we're having roll call, thought I would check again to see if anyone had turned up anything on the following: George Campbell (b:1787) married to Elizbeth (b: 1790) listed in the 1850 Iredell Co. Census. Enumerated within their household Nancy Coble (b: 1827). Nancy would marry James B. Stamper (b: 1828) in March of 1852. Also a Campbell son listed within this household but unable to read the given name. George is not listed in the 1860 census, presumably deceased, but Elizabeth is found with what appears to be two granddaughters, Melissa (14) and Minerva (11) and enumerated in her household, Catherine "Katy" Stamper with her family of 5. Trying to determine relationship between these two families. Brick wall! Can anyone help with these Campbell's or Stampers? Sherry
Matthew and Mary (Polly?) Schumacher Roberts, who went to MO ca. 1830
I am researching: PARRISH, CASHION, WARREN, CLARY, DENNIS, DAVIS, LOWE, JOHNSON, BILDERBACK, SIMMONS, MOSS Brick wall: Obed PARRISH, in Iredell 1810 census with wife and 8 children. Died abt. 1815, mother, Elizabeth, and younger children settled on a farm in Lincolnton by eldest two sons before the sons migrated to Southern IL in 1820's. Need to find anything on Obed, his parents, cousins, siblings. He was in Northampton Co, NC for the 1790 census; in Newberry, SC for the 1800 census where he was a constable and deputy sheriff; back in Iredell 1807. I have found mention of an Obid PARRISH of Iredell County who was a furniture maker. Can anyone shed light on him? He might be connected to Tabitha PARRISH WALDROP. Yea! I've been rather silent lately ... I've had a lot going on this past year ('99) and there seems to be no let up in this new year, 2K. Hope that everyone had a wonderful and safe Christmas and New Year Holiday and that all made it through the Y2K "non-event" with very little problems. Just a quick note, however; I have a new eMail address for those of you who have my current eMail address saved in your address book (all two of ya ... [;<D ... joke!). My NEW eMail address as of this date is: lcavin@carolina.rr.com My OLD eMail address is: cavin@charlotte.infi.net For now, I may reached at either of the two, old or new, eMail addresses, but after 31 Jan 00, my old eMail address will go away. If you need to contact me, I would prefer if you would use my new address, but I will be monitoring my old address over the next couple of weeks just in case. I just recently switched from a Dial-up Modem (you know ... that thing that goes beep, beep, beep when ya log on to the internet) to a Cable Modem (Time Warner's "Road Runner" fast internet service). And man, I mean fast, like in light speed compared to my old 56K Dial-up Modem. I had to put a seat belt and harness on my office chair to use it. [:<D 'Nuff about my new toy. Let's get some dialogue going on here. I know that I haven't been very visible for a while, but I plan on becoming more active as time will permit. Anyone up for a "Roll Call"? How about posting your Surnames/Individuals to the List. There are a good many new subscribers who might make some connections with you. Well, gotta run for now. Y'all take care and we'll be talking to ya again real soon. Tapadh leibh, Sláinte! I have Leah Blackwelder born Dec 10, 1798 married to Henry Lipe. Maybe someone doing Blackwelder genealogy can tell me. My Leah is daughter of Isaac Blackwelder and Mary Phifer. Two of Leah's bothers married into the Fisher family Moses Blackwelder married Rachel Fisher and Nelson Blackwelder married Mary Fisher. I am interested in Blackwelder genealogy due to the fact that several married Lipes and one Blackwelder married John Paul Barringer. My main lines are Harkey, Lipe, Bost, House and Teeter ..
