Amos died in Guilford county in 1847. We think his little farm was in NW Guilford county, near the county border with western Rockingham county. Amos married Caroline in 1810. Caroline had 9 or 10 children between 1821 and 1847. The only known names of children are William S., Nathaniel H., Rachel L., and Calvin A. These four were taken in by other familes until they were 21. Calvin and maybe a few other of the children were taken to Hendricks or Hamilton County Indiana in or around 1850, by friends or guardians. Of the list of surnames I entered for this posting, only Page, Simpson and Perkins were actual relatives, the others were friends or neighbors of Amos Page and/or were appointed guardians of the children until they reached adulthood.
