I need to know which family members are buried at this site, & if possible the current care-taker of the cemetery. Reuben Edmondson (b-1802; d-1865) is reported to have been buried in this cemetery, as were many of his family members. My GG/Fa Ebenezer was born in 1805 (GoldPoint, NC) & died in 1887 (Martin Co). He & wife, Mary Winberry, had a farm up the road from GoldPoint in the Huskanaw Swamp area. Their burial locations are currently unknown. Ebenezer's eldest son, Reuber Thos., who died in Civil War service in 1863, was recorded buried on family farm in GoldPoint. Anyone with any info, please, contact me at: "wreluvsthesea@yahoo.com". Thanks ! Bob Edmondson [Chatsworth, CA]
Is there anyone out there that could look up information regarding the death of Peter Powell, Jr. He was the son of Peter Powell, Sr. and Martha Patcey (Carroll) Powell. He was born at Caswell County, NC about 1807 and died there about 1838. He was married to Frances Phillips/Philips at Caswell County, NC on Sept. 19, 1832. So far I've only been able to document one son by the name of John Allen Powell. John Powell was taken in by his grandfather Peter Powell, Sr. after the death of Peter Powell, Jr. I do not know what happened to his mother. I'm wondering if she died before her husband since I've not been able to locate any siblings of John A. Powell. Any help would be greatly appreciated regarding these folks. Thanks in advance....Jo Ellen (Powell) Jester
Go to the following address and enter just the state, county, and click on the down arrow for the type of geographic information you need. . . .cemetery. Then hit your enter button, and a list of all cemeteries in the USGS database will appear. http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnis/web_query.gnis_web_query_form I checked a few minutes ago, and it was temporarily down due to some maintenance. Hello List, I am seeking info about Jack and Cornelia Sorrell and about Buron Stout. They are all probably buried next to each other and probably in the main cemetery in Lillington, Harnett, NC. Their birth and death dates, of course, and any inscriptions on the headstones, would be appreciated. Also, the name of the cemetery they are buried in. Thanks in advance, Steve Strickland

Am trying to help someone find the burial location of a Martin REECE? The information I have is that Martin REECE was born abt.1827 in Surry County and died abt.1858 and was the son of Abraham L. REECE and Jane YORK. He married (1) Sarah WOODRUFF, who died abt.1854 (2 children - girls). Then married (2) Mary Polly COCKERHAM (in Surry County) born around 1829, daugher of Hughes and Nancy COCKERHAM (1 son - John A. REECE). They supposedly lived in the Nebo Community of Yadkin County, maybe in Boonville. Bob Carter Greensboro, NC
