Searching for information on Sophia Wales, b. 1818 in Maryland, married George Downing, Dec. 26, 1833, Columbus, Bartholomew Co. Co., Indiana, died Feb. 3, 1897 (Fannin Co., TX?) She reportedly said she was "half Irish, half Tuckahoe Indian". The only info I have located states that Tuckahoe was not a tribe, but part of the Algonquin nation. Anyone know anything about the "Tuckahoe"? Several of us around the country are looking for more information on Sophia (my gg grandmother). Thanks in advance for any help. Marilee Barnett
