    3. Only that a genealogy book (and I know sometimes those are not accurate) said that Elias Sanders was thought to have been born in Maryland. Another branch of our tree said their side of the family was always told he was born in North Carolina. I use both as a reference just in case. I plan on checking the 1880 census to see what his immediate children said his state of birth would have been. His father was said to be British but I don't even count on that at this point. I know (at least I've not found >anything) we are not on any rolls as my family was living as whites. We've all heard stories about how he might >have lived with his mother's family and lived in both lifestyles, in his younger days. All speculation at this point but I do feel that there has to be something there. ============================== The RootsWeb WorldConnect Project: Tens of millions of individuals... and counting. http://worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com/ ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
