My great-grandfather was James J. Nash born 7/18/1859 (perhaps!); died 3/8/1924. He married Lulu Boody in Tekonsha, MI 3/23/1887. The story is that he ran away from his home in New York when he was "very young" and never mentioned his family again. The only clue I have is that on his second marriage license he listed his father as James Nash and his mother as Annie Seldon, both from Ireland. He stated that he was from Buffalo, New York. The wife of my grandfather's brother told me that he once told her that he had a brother William, and a sister Lauren. I have been unable to find records confirming this and it may, in fact, not be true. My grandfather was his firstborn son (born 8/20/1889) and his name was William Jay.
