    1. Nash
    2. This is my first venture at joining the NASH list--hope it works. According to family tradition, Capt. NASH was mysteriously lost at sea in the very early 1800s. Meanwhile, back at home in NC, Mrs. NASH was murdered. Supposedly Capt NASH's partner settled up his affairs by binding out to a GA plantation owner, the daughter whose name is unknown but could be Sarah or Elizabeth. We think she later married a GA man named COBB, but have no further information on her. Her brother, Samuel C. NASH was bound out to a sea captain. In 1816, Samuel married Nancy J. GRAY near Elizabeth City, Pasquotank Co, NC. They had Sarah Elizabeth, Thomas C. and William Thomas while still in NC. About 1822/1823 the NASH family moved to Wayne Co, IN where the twins , George Washington (my gg grandfather) and Timothy G. were born. Next the family moved to Madison Co. IN where Samuel A., Nancy, and Stephen were born. By 1840 they were in Nodaway Co., MO. Does anyone connect to this family? Janet Sue MILAM 108 W.
