I've "rescued" an old photograph of Lottie HOWLAND MYERS which was taken at the Record & Epler Studio in Saratoga, NY. Lottie is identified as Charles MYER'S 1st wife. I believe that the photograph maybe a reproduction of an earlier photo with the original appearing to be done in the 1870's and the remake in the 1880's. Lottie appears to be in her teens at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Lottie and her family: Charlotte "Lottie" D. HOWLAND was b. 19 Jul 1857 in Stillwater, NY to parents George W. HOWLAND (1830-1910) and Elizabeth Ann FERRIS (1837-1918). She had a brother, William C. HOWLAND (1870-1950) and a sister Carrie L. HOWLAND (b. 1869). Lottie married Charles B. MYERS (b. 1855) and they had two children, Elon Thomas MYERS (b. 1881) and Clarence H. MYERS. Lottie died 29 Mar 1883 in Stillwater, NY and is buried in the Stillwater Union Cemetery in Stillwater, NY. Census records provide the following details: 1870 census of Saratoga, NY: George HOWLAND, age 39, a Farmer, born NY Ann HOWLAND, age 34, Keeping House, born NY Charlotte HOWLAND, age 12, Attending School, born NY 1880 census of Stillwater, NY: Charles MYERS, age 25, a Farmer, born NY, parents born NY Lottie MYERS, wife, age 22, Keeping House, born NY, parents born NY I am hoping to locate someone from Lottie's family so that this wonderful old treasure can be returned to the care of her family.
