Morris 87, Athens, Texas, formerly of Washington Township, died Wednesday, December 7, 2005. She was born August 10, 1918 in Maywood, Indiana to Carleton and Bessie (Boardwell) Myers. She married Cecil W. Morris in 1937. He preceded her in death on August 11, 1995. She was employed by Dow Chemical as a lab technician in pharmaceutical manufacturing. She then worked in packing and shipping at AddisonWesley Book Publishers. After retirement she and her husband retired to the rural setting near Worthington and enjoyed fishing and spending time with animals, especially her cats. They moved to Texas in June 1995, to be near family. Memorial contributions may be made to Straydog Animal Rescue in care of Morton Small Animal Clinic, Athens, Texas, Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, December 12 in McMullan Funeral Home, Westfield, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 11. Interment will be in Eagle Creek Cemetery, Westfield. Survivors include sons and daugh! ters-in-law Darrell and Sue Morris, Westfield, Richard and Marcella Morris, Athens, TX; grandchildren Richard Morris, Jr., Tammy Gray, Sherry Gould, James Morris, Sheila Hernandez; 11 great-grandchildren.
