Hi- Just one comment. I note that you used the subject mtDNA and your MYERS connection is your mother. While mtDNA is inherited through the mother it doesn't follow a surname line the way Y DNA does on the paternal side. mtDNA is inherited by all children from their mother (through the egg) but it is only passed down to the next generation through the female children (because it comes from the mother's egg). So while your MYERS mother would be your mtDNA line it would then pass to her mother's line (POTTS) and so on on back. To find MYERS relatives via DNA you would need to take an autosomal DNA test that covers all sides of your family tree. Or you would need to find a male relative (direct line MYERS) descendant of Robert Levi MYERS. With regard to the notation in the Bible that Bird Allen MYERS and his brother had "Indian blood" this may or may not be accurate. Many families have stories of Native American heritage but only a few of those stories are accurate. You would need to either find some documentation of Native ancestry or an autosomal DNA test might confirm it.
