    3. If people do their YDNA, it’s important to post a tree, so others can see where the match might be or list surnames. I also think that my Edward Myers might have named his 3 sons after his father and father-in-law. His sons names were: Stephen George Myers; Joseph Edward Myers; Marshall Emery Myers (never married). All 3 sons went to CA in 1857 with the Ely & Griffin family who Stephen & Joseph married into. They settled in Northern CA where they lived in dies. Stephen & Joseph even homestead next to each other in Solano County 1865-1870. I have the papers from NARA. It might be interesting if each of us posted a timeline on our farthest bak Myers. Mine would be short. Cincinnati has a 1828 City directory and it’s where we found our Edward. Plus, according to his son Stephen George’s Mexican War pension papers, he (Stephen) was born in Cincinnati.
