I live close to Sherman, Texas. Tell me about your Myers connection. It would be such a delight to break this brick wall after 4-6 years! I have been to the Dallas genealogy library, but it was overwhelming. I spent two days there just trying to locate my ANTHONY MYERS/MEYERS/MIRES/MYRES in the Civil War. Ancestry.com is much simpler! One thing I did learn at the Dallas library is to search for that needle in a haystack at a point where you know for sure he was ... like IND ... and perhaps it will lead you back to the more general area ... like NC. So I have been working on IND which so far hasn't helped ... YET. Where are you stuck?
