I have an old family genealogy which states that I am a descendant of Benjamin Myers (Myer Benjamin) and his wife Rachel through a daughter Abigail who md a Jacobs and had a daughter, Susan Cecil Jacobs, in Nova Scotia in 1788. Unfortunately, First American Jewish Families by Stern only lists one daughter by name (your ancestor). I have contacted the AJA, but they have no further information on the names of the other daughters. Also mentioned in this genealogy are sisters Fanny who md Emanuel Ellis and Mary who md Barnette (although I wonder if the Barnette had skipped a generation). A letter between two daughters of Susan recounts how Mordecai Myers was still alive and had been Mayor of Schenectady. One daughter had written him, and he had responded immediately to their mother with a letter and picture. This letter states that they were relatives, but did not discuss how as this was clearly understood between the parties.
