At about the age of twenty she came unmarried to America in the company of her two sisters. Soon after she met and married John Myers in 1855 at Mayville, Wisconsin. The had a daughter Mary Myers. John died I believe in 1858. In 1859 she is married to Joseph Obermire a recent immigrant from Bavaria. Joseph was ophaned at the age of 12. Mary Myers married Frank Patrick Pletsch on May 22, 1877 in LeMars, Iowa. The had 11 children. Mary died on Feb. 13, 1928 in Sioux City, Iowa. Their children: Lilly Elizabeth, Mary Magdalene, Frances Patrick,Alyce Mary,Margaret, Anna Mary, John, Frances Margaret, Unnamed child, died at birth, Gertrude Agnes and William Charles.
