MYERS 78, of 22 W. Linwood St., died at 7AM Saturday (May 21, 1988) in WCA Hospital. An area resident most of his life, he was born April 30, 1910 in Navy Island, Ontario, Canada, a son of Jacob & Julia MCCARTY MYERS. Before retiring 13 years ago he had been employed by Amsco-Excel Inc. A US Navy veteran of WWII, he served in the Asiatic Pacific theater. MYERS was a member of Fluvanna Fire Department & Henry Mosher Post 638, American Legion of Falconer. Surviving is his wife, the former Alberta WRIGHT, whom he married Jan. 14, 1928; 3 daughters Beverly LINDSTROM & Judi MYERS of Celoron & Donna LOVELESS of Stockton; 2 sons: Jack S. MYERS of Falconer & Dennis MYERS of Jamestown; 11 grandchildren: Jeffrey LINDSTROM of W. Ellicot, Paula BRYNE of Syracuse, David LOVELESS of Washington, DC, Donald LOVELESS of Stockton, Gerald LOVELESS of Mayville, Dana LOVELESS of Fredonia, Pamela DEBRAUX of VA, Patircia LOVELESS of Stockton, Dennis Jr. & Christine MYERS, both of Jamestown & Jennifer MYERS of Celorn; 14 great-grandchildren; & a brother, Walter MYERS of Jamestown. He was preceded in death by a son, Vincent F. MYERS Jr.; 3 brothers: Stanley, Bobert & Frank MYERS; 2 sisters: Beatrice JOHNSON & Grace WEATHERLY. The funeral will be at 11 AM Tuesday in Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Gilbert J. Pearson, pastor of Celoron United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
