Some other Myers family members that might help me! I have a Myers I am related to from Easton. Howard Smith Myers. b June 17, 1852 Easton, PA d January 21, 1927 Elizabeth, NJ. We believe his parents were Christian B. Myers b. circa 1829 and Catherine Smith b.?. Problem is that there is a Christian B. Myers that enlisted in the 51st PA infantry during the civil war and there is a registration card on the PA archives website. It says he was born in Greenville, PA. There are two Greenville PA's. One is a township and the other a village. They are both on the other side of the state. If any of you know anything about Christian or his family, or believe that we may be related, please let me know. In addition, the story in my family is that the Myers were Pennsylvania Dutch, which would be a good reason for your George W. Myers reading a German bible. AND yes there are several George Myers in my family which could be named after your George if he were an un! cle, or even a cousin. Names in my Myers family. Christian, Catherine, Howard, Hannah, Royal, George, Charlotte. I can give more detailed information if anyone wants it. Thanks for any help!
