She was a homemaker most of her life. She was born Aug. 4, 1917, in North Salem to William Edward Myers and Sarah Lucinda Cottington Myers. Her husband, Marvin Earl Wells, whom she married Oct. 15, 1938, died April 11, 1995. Survivors include three sons, James L. Wells and Danny K. Wells, both of Terre Haute, and Marvin E. Wells of Danville, Ill.; three brothers, Henry Myers of Danville, Ind., Robert Myers of Clayton and Ezra Myers of Lebanon; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Raymond Myers and Walter “Bud” Myers; and two sisters, Lora Page and Rose Trout. She was a member of Mooresville First Baptist Church. Services are 10 a.m. Friday in Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel in Mooresville, with the Rev. Larry Floyd officiating. Burial is in Clayton Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2209 John R. Wooden Drive, Martinsville, Ind. 46151.
