There is a major Jewish/Catholic Myers family in the United States and they are out of southern SC. The Catholic branch of Col John Jacob Myers is associated with Union General John C Fremont. The Jewish Branch is associated with CSA General John Cabell Breckinridge with Major William M Myers.
