Hi everyone: it is encouraging to see that the Myers list is so active these days. May it continue to be so. I would like to ,make contact with anyone who is researching or conversely a descendant of one Betsy Myers. Evidently this Betsy Myers was a daughter of Henry Myers (b Germany abt 1758) and Catherine Shafer (b abt 1772 in New York). They were married June 17 1789 in New York State I believe Delaware County. I came across Betsy on at least 3 PFT ( Public Family Trees) in Ancestry.com. She was one of a number of children. and was born in Delaware County New York. I would consider that her proper given name would in all likely hood be Elizabeth Myers. One of the PFT has shown her as the second child of Henry and Catherine listing the first five children as born from 1790 to 1794 a little unlikely, but possible. None of the PFTs that I have examined show a spouse or children for Elizabeth (Betsy) , and only the one tree, noted above, gave a birth date for her. "Betsy" may or may not be related to my wife, however, there is only one way to tell, have contact with proven descendants or people with knowledge of some vital statistics for her.
