It's a rather large lot with about 15 people in the lot. All the other lots have gravestones including the lot next door. They are the Sill family and they have a name stone that would cost over a million dollars today to replace. It stands about 30 ft tall. My sense is by the other gravestones and the names around and within 150 ft of the lewis and Clark lot, that all these people were Abolitionists connected to Meriwether Lewis' office at Harpers Ferry. Meriwether Lewis' office is next door to John Brown's fort. That is thanks to the park service that keeps these building in good service today. I have a record that one Jacob Myers from Pittsburgh built seven boats for General George Rogers Clark who was William Clark's brother. William Clark was Meriwether Lewis' partner. I have a spotty record that this Myers family might be Spainish New Christian or Catholic. This would be the Myers family of Fort Myers in Lee County Florida. Lee County was named after CSA General Robert E Lee. I am trying to reconstruct the families ties of Robert E lee, JEB Stuart and John Brown at the time of the Raid of Harpers Ferry. I was wondering if any Myers family, who has a solid Dead End someplace near Kansas might want to help me with this. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
