But some things in your post seem familiar. My great grandfather was Michael Myers, born about 1859 in Missouri. He is on the 1860 Webster County, Missouri census with his two older brothers William Columbus "Tum" and Francis Marion. The oldest is 5 and the middle one is 3. Their mother Sarah Jane Greathouse Myers is with them. They are also in the house with Sarah's father Michael Greathouse and her siblings. By the 1870 census Sarah is nowhere to be found. The two older boys are with Sarah's sister and Michael is with the Ikerd family. I had heard a story long ago about some of our family going to Iowa. Michael Myers came to Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory by 1900. He married Martha Jane Deckard in Missouri in 1880. They lived in Oklahoma til they died in the 1920s.
