Ned was a seaman who served with writer James Fenimore Cooper. Some reports state Ned Myers actually lived with the Coopers in Cooperstown NY and was related to Queen Victoria or her grandson Kiser Wilhelm II who was a close friend of Robert Lincoln. Robert was the son of Abraham Lincoln. There is also some reports that Ned Myers was related to Secretary of War Edwin M Stanton and his wife Pittsburgh socialite Ellen Hutchison.
