My 5th times great grandfather was Godfrey Myers born 1796 in Maryland. Both of his parents were born in the United States, meaning more than likely his father would have been in the revolution. His death certificate incorrectly indicates he was born in Germany. Sometime in the early 1800's my Godfrey moved to Philadelphia. I have been unable to locate his parents specifically his father in either Maryland or Pennsylvania prior to his birth in Maryland... any suggestions or leads would be greatly appreciated.
