His family is married into the Washington's, the Lewis's and the Henry's. Records show the Slate Creek Iron Works was built on 5000 to 10,000 acres of land given to Jacob Myers by Patrick Henry. Patrick Henry is married to Dorthy Spotswood. Dorthy Spotswood is Gov Alexander Spotswood's grand daughter. Gov Alexander Spotswood is credited with introducing iron making into America. The Myers family is listed in a Spotswood court order issued in Kentucky for the Spotswood Family Estate to distribute land to all known heirs. The Myers family is listed in that court order. My gg grandfather, ANTHONY W. MYERS was born 1817 in NC (someplace). Census all show BOTH his parents were born in NC (someplace). I am STUCK in 1817 in the beautiful city and county of "(someplace)". 1. Where does one go to find MYERS before 1800s? 2. How does one find where that SOMEPLACE in NC is? 3. How does one find where MYERS came from in the 1700s (or earlier)? 4. What seems to be the consensus of the COUNTRIES MOST MYERS came from in the 1700s and maybe 1600s? 5. Those coming here BEFORE 1700, WHERE did they land in America? 6. WHEN did they come to America in the 1600s and 1700s? 7. WHY did they come to America in the 1600s and 1700s? Nickie Myers Shasteen
