My family was Joseph or Jacob Finney Myers who is my great grandfather, had Two kids George Sidney Myers and William M Myers. My father told me we were Cherokee Indian and French. The name once was used Thomas Myers as an AKA when the law picked up William M Myers. Some indications are they came from Illinois or Indiana.
