Auction details: This is a copy of the King James Bible dating from about 1800 - no date is apparent as the title page and other preliminaries are missing. The book's main interest, however, lies in the family history recorded in it. There are three sides in the front recording dates of birth of various Myers. In the back is a further page of Myers, and loosely inserted are 7 various sheets with Myers, Gardners and Goodwins on. Date are from the early 1800s to the 1950s. The binding is black leather with the British and Foreign Bible Society stamp on the front cover. Corners are badly bumped, and there is a section of leather missing from the front cover. Internally, apart from the preliminaries, all pages appear to be present (978). PLEASE SEARCH EBAY USING ITEM # 6568813376 Just copy & paste the item number into the search box. I have NO connection to the bible, surnames or auction. Good luck all.

His parents were Berlie James and Ruth McCollum Myers. They are all buried in Oak Lawn Cemetary in Winston Salem, NC. He spent seven years in the US Navy and was a chef during WWII and the Korean War. Was married to a Carolyn Peddycord Myers, and had step children Pamela Brown and Todd McBride. His sisters were Thelma Kimball, Eva Rice, and Phyllis Lewis. And he also had a stepbrother, James L. McKnight. I'm really hoping to communicate with his other children, Bonnie Joe and Stephen Myers that were at one time in Tacoma, WA. Their mother was Gertrude Gerhardt. Thanks again for any other information. From what I know, he should have been born around 1929 to Berlie Myers and possible Ruth Myers? and died in the early 90's from diabetes. He served in WWII as a cook, and also had multiple jobs as a cook during his life. He met my grandmother (Rassie Jane Shore) which was his 2nd wife (of three) in Hamptonville, North Carolina. They married Nov. 7th, 1953 in Forsyth County, NC. He had two kids with my grandmother, my uncle Gordon Keith and my father Burley James. I am told he had two kids from his third marriage, and they both live in Washington, possibly Tachoma. I believe their names are Thomas and either Bobby Sue, Betty Jo, Sally Jo... something along those lines. Any information would be GREATLY appeciated. My family didn't keep up with any other Myers' and I'd just like to know some more. Thanks so much, James Brandon Myers MassReality@gmail.com

My g-g-grandfather was Ephraim Thompson (1844-1914). His second wife married 1894 in Hardin County, Iowa was Margaret A. Myers born 1854 in Illinois. She had been married twice before, first to a Jones c.1870 and a Smith c.1880. After Ephraim died in Iowa Falls 1914, Margaret (sometimes seen as Margery and Margera) was still living in Iowa Falls alone and working at a restaurant in the 1920 census. She disappears in the 1930 census. Her parents moved to Iowa Falls by 1900 census and were: Daniel Myers born 1824 probably in Rowan County, North Carolina and married 1847 in Clinton County, Indiana to Priscilla Underhill, born 1827 in Lawrence County, Indiana. He died between 1900-1910 and her between 1910-1920, both in Iowa Falls. There is a cemetery in Iowa Falls named Friends Cemetery and Ephraim Thompson is buried there but don't see any Myers family except one brother to Margaret named George W. Myers (1856-1923). A infant son is also buried with him but again, no wife seen. He had married a Margaret E. Dixon (1855-1928). She died in Des Moines and probably buried there. That is about all I have for leads. I can not seem to find anyone willing to look up George Myers obit and/or death at the Hardin County, IA county courthouse. I am curious to know if Margaret is mentioned or maybe someone can find the obits for Margaret's parents and know where they are buried and have a possible lead as to where Margaret is? Thanks! Eric
