Swanke family. This scrapbook is brimming full of his military career (Lt. Col. U.S.Army) and family information. He was married to Dorothy Mae Grady, daughter of Lucy May Pearcy Grady Myers. Christ and Dorothy's children were Robert and Jennie Lee. Robert married "Marie" and Jennie married John F. Curry. This is an incredible, touching scrapbook and I would love to see it returned to direct descendants if at all possible. The scrapbook was found in an antique store near Lakewood, Washington. I believe Christ was born and raised in Wheaton, Minnesota and served in Ft. Snelling, MN, Georgia, California and spent time in China / Europe / Korea / Japan. Dorothy was born in Kansas abt. 1909. This cemetery was not maintained and many of the gravestones had broken or fallen over on the ground. Daniel Myers, a farmer born in Pennsylvania around 1799, appeared in the 1850 census of Shawnee Township with the following members of the household: Jane, age 59, born in NC, Nancy, age 29 born in Ohio, William Myers age 22, born in Ohio, and Jacob Roth, age 10, born in Indiana.
