    3. Still looking for the parents of Michael Myers. Both his parents were born in Pennsylvania. His wife's parents were born in Ireland. Michael MYERS b. 14 Mar 1820 d. 21 Sep 1889 in Glasgow, Cambria, PA (Reade or White Township) Occupation: Farmer Article about death in Mountaineer-Herald, page 3, column 3, September 1889 Michael Myers, a well-known and highly respected citizen and farmer of this township, died Saturday morning after years of intense suffering from cancerous affections in the stomach and bowels; he was a model man in principle and seemed to have no enemies. He was a member of the Lutheran church at Glasgow, and leaves a wife and a large family of which nearly all are married to mourn his sad loss.     3. My husbands great grandmother was Emma Rosa MEYER daughter of Jacob MEYER and Maria HEINIGER. Emma was born in Pfeffingen, Baselland, Switzerland in 1860. She came to America around 1880 with her sister Bertha MEYER who was born in 1859. Emma and Bertha were followed to America by 2 brothers Martin and Ed. Emma married a FROMMEL and died in Genesee Co., MI in 1927, Bertha married a HALL and died in Los Angeles, CA in 1953. Martin settled in Michigan in Lapeer County and died there in 1944. I have no information on Ed and am not totally sure that is what his name was. Jacob and Maria supposedly also had children: Karl, Louis. Adolph, Anna, Mary and Charles. Jacob was still alive after 1900 in a nursing home in Liestal, Baselland. I would love to hear from anyone who might be connected to this family. Ginger cpeckham@comcast.net
