Mary Myers Williams Try looking into Manheim Township, Lancaster Co. PA through the Myers. I have discovered in my search that Myers was spelled Moyers/Meyers/Myers in different situations. Headstones from the original settlers seem to have Moyers and written totally in German. The next generation seem to have gone to Myers with English spellings. These Mennonite German settlers in Manheim Township had quite a niffty community. Try looking back another generation for Jacob's parents. What lineage of Myers' are you considering and what area of the country? Most of my relative started in Greenbriar Co W. Virginia/Virginia going back to 1750's then about 1850 they were in Mt Plesant Iowa, I am sure there are others scattered between VA and Iowa but do not have confirmations. TOWN OF BEETOWN JOHN MYERS, farmer, Sec. 23; P. O. Beetown; born in 1826, in Canada; was a son of Michael and Ann Myers; he became an active young man at the age of 22, and came to Wisconsin and worked in the pinery; then to Taylor Co., Iowa, for two years; came back to Wisconsin and lived one year; he then went to California, where he lived for one year and a half; moved then to Grant Co., Wis., near Beetown; began farming in 1867. He married Miss Mary J. Immel, a daughter of A. Immel; he went in debt for a large farm, but was prosperous and paid for it; he raised five children - William M., Philip H., Bertha R., Mary E., Ettie B.; has 240 acres of land.
