I know this is a long shot but I'm looking for descendants of Charles and Rebecca (MYERS) FELIX who are originally from Adams County, PA but moved to Philadelphia by the 1910 census where Charles worked as a paperhanger. By 1920 the family had moved to Hatfield Montgomery County and it looks as if their children probably married and remained in this area. Charles and Rebecca returned to Adams County and are buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Gettysburg. There is a son Charles R. married to Bertha with sons James and Charles, twins age 15, on the 1940 census in Montgomery County and a daughter Mildred who was age 20 in 1930. Joan

It's all new so that's about all I can say about it right now. Can anyone reading this do a lookup? I haven't checked any sources yet for where this book might be housed. Thanks! Have you checked the NY connection? A group of Myers left NY and went to Pa in the mid to late 1700's. These names are similiar to the names I find in my NY ancestors if that means anything. Does any of this information ring a bell with anyone? I'm looking for the ancestors of my Conrad MYERS born 23 June 1830 whose father is most likely a Jacob MYERS/MEYERS born around 1786 who has a wife named Elizabeth born about 1798. They may have been from Cumberland County...here's why... For years I've assumed that the huge MEYER/MYERS family in Adams County, PA descending from Philip Nicholas MEYER of the Round Hill Post Office area of the county was my MYERS family even though I was missing a connection here and there. Obviously in genealogy you haven't PROVEN a thing if you haven't started with yourself and traced back one generation at a time with evidence to support each generation and connection. Now I'm looking more at Cumberland County, PA given that my second great-grandparents, Conrad and Maria (ZINN) MYERS show up in 1868 Pennsylvania Church records for the German Reformed Church in Carlisle, Cumberland County along with their children. Also, the minister of the Church is shown as Rev. John A. HOFFHEINS. This is a potential clue in that my great-grandfather, Henry MYERS married Matilda HOFFHEINS. (So far I have her ancestry and haven't connected it to the Rev. John A. HOFFHEINS who I have found is the son of a Rev. Emanuel HOFFHEINS, son of another Rev. Emanuel HOFFHEINS of Lancaster County.) Let's go back to my starting point with what I know for certain: I know for SURE that my second great-grandparents are Conrad MYERS and Maria ZINN who lived and died and are buried in Adams County, PA. Conrad was born on 23 JUN 1830 in PA and died on 31 MAY 1902 in Adams County, PA. He and his wife are buried in Hampton Reformed Cemetery. I can follow Conrad and his family from 1860 on up until his death in the census. I have searched every 1850 census record under any possible MYERS spelling and the closest I came to finding Conrad in any location I might expect to find him is the following: Name:Conrad Meyers Birthplace:Pennsylvania Home in 1850:Oxford, Adams, Pennsylvania Gender:Male Family Number:157 Household Members:NameAge Jacob Meyers64 Conrad Meyers18 Ely Meyers18 Elizabeth Meyers52 Eliza Meyers14 Mary Meyers15 Louisa Meyers10 Living in the house next to them I find: David M. Meyers, age 33 born PA Henry S. age 8 William A age 6 Edmond age 2 Mary age 33 Esther age 4 Based upon the official enumeration date of June 1st for the 1850 census MY Conrad MYERS would have been age 19 on this census but is listed as 18. The location is where I would expect to find my Conrad as he later resided in New Oxford, Adams County and he usually spelled his name MYERS on all records. However, the enumerator in this census seems to have spelled most or all of the people I know as MYERS as MEYERS...so I believe the spelling to be enumerator error. I'm 99% confident this is MY Conrad MYERS with his parents (or at least with his father). Since Elizabeth is quite a bit younger she may or may not be Conrad's mother...although she is old enough to have been his mother. My great-grandfather, Henry Michael MYERS was born 6 SEP 1852 in Adams County, PA and died on 6 JUN 1932 in York, PA He is buried in New Oxford Cemetery, Adams Co., PA Henry married Matilda HOFFHEINS who was born 26 DEC 1853 in Adams County, PA on 8 AUG 1875 in New Oxford, Adams County, PA Henry MYERS's death certificate shows his place of birth as Cumberland County, PA. Henry's younger brother, Edward John MYERS (aka: John E. MYERS) migrated to China Township, Lee County, Illinois and his online death record shows: birth: 18 December 1863 / 1864 Carlisle, Cumberland Co., Pa. residence: 26 May 1942 Franklin Grove, China, Lee, Ill death: 26 May 1942 Amboy, Lee, Illinois burial: 29 May 1942 China Twp., Lee, Ill. parents:Conrad Myers, Marie Zinn spouse:Anna E.
