Lucy, I couldn't say one way or the other if its his brother. Isaac moved to Seneca, NY, by the time he married in 1819. Thank you, Mary Meyers Williams Mary- There are several for specific MYERS (and variant spelling) surnames--involving descent from various MYERS ancestors. Most only test males of direct MYERS lineage. You can learn more at: http://www.familytreedna.com/surname.asp Joan

I've been trying to find information on Abraham Myers from Lambertville NJ. His son was John Myers born around 1835 and served in the Civil War. His pension papers list Abraham as his father, but that his father left the area when John was a young boy and moved west. Does this sound familiar to anyone else? Rochelle

Dear List, I was wondering if anyone out in the Myers "cyber land" might have a connection to my James Holman Myers. 1. I believe he was born in Indiana 2. He married a Mary Lilly/Lillian Fisher 3. They did reside in Fayette and Franklin counties in Indiana for a while and reportedly may have also lived in Jasper County, Indiana in or near Rensselaer. 4. He died in 1914 or 1915 in Indiana. 5. There is a possibility that he or she was part Indian (some have said Pottawatomie tribe). The details are sketchy at best. 6. Mary was expecting their last of ten (?) children when he died. Two of the younger children were placed with families that later adopted them. 7. Mary married a Virgil Otis Johnson and had three more children (one died in early childhood). Any connection, direction or help will be greatly accepted and appreciated by a genealogy novice. Please contact me. Bob Pentecost repent48@yahoo.com --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!?
