More so if it was Wood or Woodson. Are you sure about the name Woodward which is a little off from what I expected. The name Woodward was one of the reasons I replied because of that first part WOOD. There is no real records with this Myers family but they rub sholders with prominent families who do keep records. So you must track them through the in-laws.

Capt William Abrahams married Martha Hill in Boston around 1719. They had 6 children, one of whom was William Abrahams. b 11 Sept, 1722 in Boston. William Abrahams married Elizabeth Reneuff on 9 Jan, 1745. They had 6 children, one of whom was Woodward Abrahams, b. 21 July, 1754 in Salem, MA. Woodward Abrahams (I have seen an internet reference that states he was a tinsmith) married Mary Myers on 28 Nov, 1777 in Salem. One of their sons was John Woodward Abrahams (I believe a sea captain) who married Phoebe C. Sterling of Monhegan Island, ME (my gr, gr, gr grandparents.) This generation changed the name from Abraham(s) to Abrams. The only people in this line that I have no info on are Elizabeth Reneuff and Mary Myers. I would be so excited to find some info on Mary Myers. Thanks so much, Charlotte

Kentucky. Jacob knows Patrick Henry and has received over 100,000 acres in land grants from him. Jacob also started a riverboat service between Limestone and Pittsburgh PA connecting Fort Pitt with the Iron Works around 1793. Records seem to how he also owns a blacksmith shop at Fort Pitt in Pittsburgh. I am from Pittsburgh. He sold part interest in the Iron Works to John Cockey Owings of Baltimore. I have simi-hard paperwork provided by the Myeras in laws who seem to be related to the Owings family in Baltimore that Jacob Myers is my ggggrandfather.

Second, how did Partick Henry give these land grants to Jacob without someone in a higher office saying "what the #%$# are you doing"? Third, you must ask yourself why a guy who could not read or write pick up 1/4 of Kentucky by just being there. I know the answer. I am looking for true decendents of this Jacob Myers. If you are, then lets work together on this.

John Cockey has lots of records of the Iron Works because it produced lots of Cannon Balls for the war of 1812. He also has lots of records showing Jacob Myers and his son helped him get those contracts. It shows Jacob Myers belonging to the Richmond Va Myers family. Jacob Myers jr starts to sell all that land Patrick Henry got his father for 2000 pounds of tobacco per 400 acre farm. The Tobacco was shipped to Baltimore and then on to Richmond were the Richmond Myers family processed it and sold to the Public. Yes I know about Jacob Myers war service and most of that service was done at Fort Pitt in Pittsburgh.

Frederick MD is not far at all from Baltimore and is on the National Road to Pittsburgh. Some of the Baltimore 1650 Myers's are in Frederick. I am using 1650 as the year they arrived in Boston. The Key is the name Jost. Jost Myers is Jacob Myers father who also had Mary Myers who married Jim Beam the Whisky Guy. It's in Jim Beam's web site someplace. Jacob Myers went with Mary Myers to Kentucky after Mary marries Jim Beam.
