Myers of Baltimore, MD, b. 1839. He was my GGGrandfather, and had 6 children that I know of: Charles Bernard Myers, Ida Virginia Myers, George Edward Myers (my GGrandfather), Emma F. My late mother, Anna LeVerne (Myers) Manzke, had a number of cousins listed in an old address book, but I have no idea how they fit into the family tree. This is an honorary title and not inherited as in the english usage. In NE Oklahoma (where I grew up), not many Osage princesses ever married a non-osage male. Dennis

(They had to be living in OK to enroll for the most part). Anyway to try to help narrow down the couple can you give more info. Like approximate time frame, where in MO, what kids (and their bd's). Have you found any info on censuses? Also did they live anywhere else that you know of?

It's possible that she could have been a Chief's daughter (unlikely tho).. and that could have been Americanized to Princess but if you talk to tribal members etc. you'll get farther if you omit the "Princess" part. It's been postulized that white that married Indian women tended to elevate their status to somehow make it more acceptable as to why they married an Indian. Anyway just a cautionary note to omit the Princess part..
