If so, he isn't the son of William and Ellen...that doesn't seem to fit. But you have said that your Jacob's middle name is Abraham and the father here is Abraham? Name: Jacob Myers Age in 1870: 9/12 Birth Year: abt 1869 Birthplace: Illinois Home in 1870: Lancaster, Stephenson, Illinois Race: White Gender: Male Household Members: Name Age Abraham Myers 30 (born Pennsylvania) Mary Myers 30 Lydia Myers 6 Ellen Myers 5 Jacob Myers 9/12 Levi Epley 18 (Laborer) Living next door to this family is an Isaac MYERS age 26 born Pennsylvania with a wife Amelia and one year old son John. The DEAD END. Some of John Browns family served in the Mormon Battalion under Phillips St Jeorges Cooke. His son, John Esten Cooke, wrote the story of Hunter John Myers of Virginia who had 18 children all unaccounted for except for his daughter actress Sally Myers. I understand some of the Myers ran with the Youngers. It's a story of Banks, Bank Robbers, Payroll Trains and Railroad Guards and the Movies. Warner Brothers started their Movie Business in Pittsburgh and the Selznicks worked for them. Gone with the Wind was shot at Myers Lake in Burbank California. Yes Anna Myers Seward and Anna Baum Haben are most likey relatives and surly related to NY Gov Teddy Roosevelt and writer L Frank Baum. Author: christinamae1211 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.myers/7499.2.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I sure can. As I stated my Grandfather is Richard Lawrence Myers born 25 May, 1935 in Sheboygan Wisconsin. He died 22 JUL, 2010 in Riverside, CA but it could be listed as Loma Linda, CA. My Grandmother was Donna Mae Hennen Born 13 SEP 1940 in Fond Du Lac, WI and died 30 SEP 2002 in Loma Linda, CA. They had 5 children. And spent most of my life living in Riverside, CA but I believe they moved to CA from Zion, Illinois which is where my mother was born. His (Richard Lawrence Myers) father was Roy James Myers Born 4 MAY 1911 in Chilacothe, IL. He died 22 SEP 1999 in Olney, Richland, IL. He was married to Ora Arlene Elliott Born 20 JAN 1913 in Ocanta Falls, WI. She died 10 APR 1988 in Waupan, WI. They had 9 children. And when I met them at the age of 5 (I am now 29) they were living in Waupan, WI still. Roy James Myers father was Jacob Abraham Myers Born ABT FEB 1868 in IL. He died ABT JAN 1928 in Ladoga, WI. He was married to Sarah Ann Talbert (My grandfather knew her as Sadie) Born 31 MAR 1886 in Chillocothe, IL. And died 31 MAR 1975 in Waupan, WI. They had what I believe to be 10 children. A 1925 Iowa census stated they lived in Greene county. It also stated Jacob Abraham Myers father as William Myers B.P. Ohio and Eellen Freeman B.P. Ohio. I was able to find a 1880 census that put a William F Myers in Hopewell, Marshall, IL Born in Ohio ABT 1834 and married to an Ellen Freeman. They had 9 children at that time. He was a farmer. It states his Fathers Birthplace is Virginia and his Mothers Birthplace as North Carolina. I have searched and searched but I have hit a dead end. I feel like the information is right in front of me, but I can't make sense of it. I was able to find an 1850 census in Wayne Ohio for a Jacob Myers Born in TN ABT 1811 married to a Sarah Day (1818-1851) It listed their children as Nelli, William 16, Bazzel 8, Addison 6, and Jacob 1. I do not know if this is the right family. It appears most of my Myers line were business men and farmers. They moved around a lot. I have seen mostly Ohio, Iowa, and Wisconsin in my research. I would really like to learn is Jacob Myers and Sarah Day are William F Myers parents, and if so who their parents were to get me over this hump. I have been stuck at this spot for the past month and haven't moved from it. I have pictures of the Myers up to Jacob Abraham Myers my great great grandfather so I know at least to that point my information is correct. From there it is fuzzy. Thank you for your time! I really appreciate any information anyone might have or could share. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. FEB 1868 in Illinois, and D. Jan 1928 in Ladoga, WI. He was married to Sarah Ann Talbert. They had quite a few children, their son Roy James Myers is my Great Grandfather. I have his parents listed as William F Myers B. 16 OCT 1835 in Ohio and D.29 Nov 1896 in Peoria, Illinois. His wife was Ellen R. Freeman (Mary Ellen I believe is her nickname). I have his parents listed as Jacob Myers possibly B. 8 Nov 1808 in Greene County TN. And D. 16 Aug 1866. I have his wife as possibly being Sarah (Sare) Day (1836 Ohio-1906), but I do not know if this is correct because I keep coming up with nothing. I would really like to know who William F Myers parents are and as much info as possible on them so I can research further. I am hitting a road block. If anyone has information on this family or would be willing to try to research for me in case I am missing something I would be very appreciative. I was diagnosed with Leukem! ia and I am trying to put together a family tree as far back as I can to leave for my children. Thank you for your time.
