The Myers family I am watching were connected to Mosler Safes and the Mellons of Pittsburgh. If you get an old Title Insurance Map of Pittsburgh, you will see a Myers family lived next door to General James Scott Negley who's sister married Judge Thomas Mellon of the Banking Mellons. That is how they are getting the Intel on just where the big shippments of money was going. The Mellons had a bank in Bismark ND. The Mellons, Pinkertons and Fricks are very sensitve that they might be RELATED to the Bismarcks of Germany. In any event, everybody meets at the 1893 Columbia Exposition in Chicago. I am sure Butch and Sundance were at the show. The Youngers, I believe, were also there. I bet your Jacob Finney Myers was there to. Everyone, and I mean everyone, wanted to see this new Electric Light System by George Westinghouse of Pittsburgh. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I see not a reason not to believ our family, but I am looking for the truth. I do believe he was born about 1852 plus or minus some. One of the United States Marshals David Turk mentioned that it was possibe he had something to do with Butch Cassidy. My grandmother said they had a letter that Jacob or Joseph had died from gunshot from a train robbery in Montana and again I cannot put the two together. He was sen at a bar in Oregon the last tme anyone evr saw him. I believe Ontario Oregon myself. He left Boise June 24th 1902 on the run. I really want to locate this guy as I have been trailing him for a very long time. Whn he lived in Boise Idaho he used the names of Finney Myers and J.F. Myers. I get the impression that this goes back to the time John Westly was not happy with the Church of England. The McIntyres were Methodist Missionaries and connected to the Myers family who were associates of Bishop Vincent. I am kind of general right now. In any event, I believe this Myers is part of James Fenimore Cooper's friend Ned Myers who was a God son of Prince Edward. Then Bishop Vincent was connected to some Catholic Jacobites. I know this is all mish mash to some people if you don't understand John Westly's problem when he was in Savanah Georgia. That is he wanted the end to the Church of England and turned to some Catholic Jacobites who had the same wish. So again, just how Methodist was this family before I get more pointed? It's a complicated group including a connection to Union Captain Chief Billy Bowlegs of Ft Myers. It seems were are connected to the Pinkertons and all their stories including the Homestead Strike in Pittsburgh to Butch and the Sundance Kid blowing up that train with the Mosler Safe. So if your Myers family ran with the Youngers, well you got to belong with this group. There is also a connection to Lawrence Murphy and William McCloskey. If you can remember, William McCloskey was killed by Billy the Kid which started all the trouble in Lincoln County. I have way more on this and it all started with a fellow my the name of John Kennedy who was to be Abraham Lincoln's running mate. He was the Secretary of the Navy under President Mallard Fillmore. His middle name was Finney and he went by that name several times. He did live in the Arkansas area close to Ft Smith. He lived on the Indian Nation in what was called IT Territory. Mostly Cherokee. His wife at the time was America L. (Myers) whom we were always told was full Cherokee. I think and her maiden name very well was McCluney. He shot her sister in 1886 and she died and so he was in Issac Parkers court and was released. He was in Issac Parkers court several times and I believe he knew Parker almost by first name basis. Jacob moved to Earlsboro Oklahoma next to Shawnee in 1889 and had 160 1/16th acrea. Sometime after that he left and headed to Idaho and joined up with a lady named Dora.... know knothing of her. Jacob had two boys George Sidney Myers November 7, 1886 in Cherokee Texas and William M Myers April 1884 in Shawnee Oklahoma. I believe there was a daughter also and Jacob left Idaho on the run June 24, 1902 never to be seen again. Stories in my family are he was an outlaw of a sort, ran with the Youngers??? Robbed a bank in Texas perhaps the Dallas area and hearsay he died from gunshot in Montana. I have looked for years and still know so little and am needing help. I do have some of the court information from Ft Smith and I am more than willing to share information. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. He was also known to have family in England. They were a riverboat family operating out of Elizabeth and I believe related to Methodist Bishop John Heyl Vincent. Myers is a very common name and I know at at least 10 Myers families living from McKeesport to Little Washington and non seem to be related although they all seem to have exactly the same names. I even have two Myers families living next door to each other and yet descendents are very firm on each side that they are not related. One thing for sure, at least one Myers family is living in the same house as relatives of the Vincents of Methodiat Bishop John Heyl Vincent and his friend Methodist Missionary Lewis Miller and his son-in-law Thomas A Edison.
